Tech Planning is one of the most important tasks you can do for your agency. Yes, your plan will take some time and effort from many folks within your agency but in the end it will be used as a tool that will help your agency determine how to integrate technology into your daily work. Therefore, in order to make good strategic decisions, a Head Start agency needs to understand how technology impacts all your services and systems. A tech plan will help your agency maximize its computer technology’s potential by serving as a reference point or a benchmark for all of your agency’s technology activities. In this module, you will begin the process of clearly identifying where your agency is in relation to where it wants to go and your benchmarks are tools or reference points that tell you how you are doing.
Bonus feature: Interview with a Head Start agency regarding actual technology implementation projects.
